MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – The Minsk oblast will present an amusement park project at the Belarusian Investment and Economic Forum in Minsk on 12-13 November, BelTA learnt from Vita Tsivilskaya, acting chairperson of the economy department of the Minsk oblast executive committee. Two sites are being considered. One is on the bank of the Dubrovskoye water reservoir near the Raubichi sports center (175 hectares; the volume of required investment is $740 million) and a site near the Silichi ski resort (215 hectares, $916.8 million). The Minsk oblast is looking to find an investor to implement this project. There are no amusement centers of this kind in Belarus. The amusement park will include three recreation zones: for extreme recreation, children’s and family recreation, and also various attractions such as rollercoaster, a race track, aqua-park, and a ghost house. The park will also include a hotel, restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, and an amphitheater. The expected attendance is 1.8 million people a year. “The Belarusian amusement park will not be an exact copy of Disneyland parks. Its concept is based on Russian and Belarusian fairytales, national traditions. The park will offer educational programmes along with entertainment,” said chief architect of the Minsk oblast Alexander Volovich. БЕЛТА
