MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – About fifteen import substituting companies will be set up in the Minsk oblast in 2010-2015, BelTA learnt from Dmitry Shekunov, head of the industrial department of the Minsk oblast executive committee. He named a number of major investment projects such as the construction of plants producing steel cold-drawn, hone shaped tubes and technical fluids. A steel tube plant will be located at the Zhodino plant of reinforced concrete constructions. The facilities were given to the BelAvtoZapchast company on a free basis. The company is obliged to create jobs and develop an import substituting production. The investment project is expected to be implemented within two years, the volume of required investments is no less than Br9 billion. The plant will be put into operation on 1 January 2012. The pay-off period is expected to be less than a year. M-Standart will build a technical fluids plant in the Minsk region. The total cost of the project is about Br11 billion. The production will help cover 60% of the needs of the Belarusian market of car and industrial cleansers. A part of the products will be exported to the CIS (Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan). The first manufacturing unit is planned to be put into operation in 2010, the project is scheduled to be finished in 2012. One of the M-Standart founders is the Cyprian Senover Trading LTD company.
