MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – The Minsk oblast and the South-East district of Moscow will intensify the cooperation in social and educational areas in 2010, Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Leonid Krupets told a joint session of the Presidium of the Minsk Oblast Council and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee on 8 February. An official delegation of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee led by the Governor visited the Russian capital on 5-7 February. According to the Governor, the cooperation in the educational area and the preparation for the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory were the main subjects of the discussion. The sides discussed the possibility of setting up a Russian-Belarusian school in Russia, the organization of the Moscow-Minsk-Brest race, the training of Belarusian students at Moscow agrarian universities. “In the near future we have to discuss these issues in details, make concrete proposals,” Leonid Krupets said. During the visit, the sides also discussed the trade and economic cooperation, the supplies of Belarusian goods to the Moscow market. Moscow is one of the most important trade partners of the Minsk oblast and takes one of the leading places among the Russian regions. The long-term cooperation programme between the prefecture of the South-East Administrative District of Moscow and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee was signed in May 2003. In April 2009 it was extended. In this period a number of joint projects have been implemented. The Belarusian goods are supplied to the Moscow markets not only owing to the direct contracts but via the commodity distribution network of BelAZ, Belaruskalii, The Molodechno-based Electromodul, the Slutsk Sugar Mill, the Gorodeya Sugar Mill, the Lubansky Trading House, Minskoblproduct. A store of the Molodechnomebel company sells the Belarusian furniture in the South-East Administrative District of Moscow. БЕЛТА
