MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The Minsk Oblast is going to publish a calendar of tourism highlights and travel tips, BelTA learnt from Valentina Makarova, chief of the culture and arts establishments office of the culture department of the Minsk oblast executive committee. The booklet will contain the information about the most important events in the Minsk Oblast. Theses are various festivals of arts, music, traditional crafts, sculptures, choreography and fold festivals. The intangible heritage list of Belarus includes the Christmas rites Shchodryk (the village of Rog, Soligorsk Region) and Tsars rite (village of Semezhevo, Kopyl Region). Belarusian Christmas Tsars rite has been included onto the UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Valentina Makarova noted that there are plans to draft a concept of the calendar by the end of the year. The booklet will be distributed with the help of travel agencies, department for physical education, sport and tourism. “We would like to get the calendar published every year and make it a guide around the Minsk Oblast for travelers. This would promote the development of tourism and festival movement in the oblast,” Valentina Makarova said. БЕЛТА
