MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) – Some 14 former manors might be turned into tourism facilities, BelTA learnt from head of the office for culture and art facilities of the culture department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Valentina Makarova. Those who would like to turn heritage tourism into a profitable business are invited to take part in the reconstruction and restoration of architectural monuments. These monuments include a park and palace ensemble of the Slavitskys (Rovanichi village, Cherven Region), remains of the manors in the villages of Nadneman, Uzda Region, Zalyadye, Slutsk Region, Bobrovnya, Kopyl Region, Vorovskogo and Staroborisov, Borisov Region, Staiki, Vileika Region, etc. The information about these monuments can be found on the websites of the regional executive committees. Valentina Makarova cited some good examples of restoring former manors. The Mannol Weissrussland company, for example, is reconstructing an ancient manor of the Lenskys in the village of Soula, Stolbtsy Region. The designing estimates are being prepared for the manor of Count Pototsky in Berezino. The manor was included in the regional tourism development program and will be part of the sports and tourism complex featuring a rowing facility in the Berezino Region. “Many sites are in a dire state, but some have preserved rather well, like a palace and park ensemble in Priluki, Minsk Region. They might become interesting for tourists, they can be turned into rural and eco tourism facilities, heritage tourism complexes,” Valentina Makarova said. БЕЛТА
