MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Minsk Oblast did well at the Investment Forum held in Germany on November 17, еhe chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, Boris Batura, told a press conference on November 24. Thus, out of 18 investment agreements which were signed at the forum, four are associated with Minsk Oblast. For example, the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital in the village of Lesnaya plans to build a consultative clinic and a cardiology center for 900 visits per shift. “This is a unique project. We will be given an interest-free loan for 10 years. Investment in construction will amount to ?40 million,” Boris Batura said. In addition, Minsk Oblast signed an agreement to build a wind farm in Logoisk District (approximately ?100 million). The project will be implemented by Swiss TDF Ecotech. An assembly facility of potato harvesters will be set up jointly with Convex International and WM Kartoffel-technik GmbH. An export-oriented dairy plant will be created in Slutsk. “We had a number of meetings with potential investors, which should yield results in the future,” Boris Batura said. Belarus Investment Forum was held as part of the Euro Finance Week in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, on November 17, with the support of the Government of Belarus. Belarus presented more than 160 investment projects worth more than $4 billion. Minsk Oblast presented the projects to construct a transportation and logistics center in Rakov (Volozhin District) and a plant to process acid whey in Nesvizh. БЕЛТА
