MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – About Br1.25 trillion was invested in the economy of Minsk Oblast in January-February 2011. That is 41.2% up over the same period 2010, BelTA learnt from the economy department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. Minsk Oblast comes second after Minsk in terms of raised investments. Utility companies of the region allocated Br425.9 billion (20% up) for the implementation of investment project. The capital investments make up Br1.84 million per one employed. There are plans to implement 478 investment projects to the total of Br4trillion in Minsk Oblast, including 55 projects with foreign investments. The district executive committees draft proposals for investors. These proposals feature specified land plots with infrastructure and companies for sale. As of 1 March 2011 there are 342 medium sized and almost 47,000 (14,200 organizations and 32,700 individuals) small business entities in Minsk Oblast. The number of small businesses stepped up 4.400 (10.4%) over January-February 2010. Budget revenues from small businesses totaled near Br249 billion (43.2% of the whole volume). The budget revenues from small businesses are expected to total 50% by 2015. New business incubators and business promotion center will be set up for this purpose. БЕЛТА
