MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) - About 200 unused objects in municipal ownership will be sold in Minsk Oblast in 2011, BelTA learnt from the director of Minskoblgosimuschestvo property fund Alexei Vasiliev. Of these, more than 90 buildings and structures will be auctioned at the initial price of one basic value or given to an investor in free use for specific investment projects. The Molodechno butter and cheese facility, Veska-EmulBit will be put to auction, Pukhovichi Autotechservice will be sold by tender. Twenty-six facilities will be offered for rent; shares of the six open joint stock companies in ownership of Minsk Oblast will be sold. The acquisition of a stake in the poultry farm Velyatichi in Borisov District by a foreign investor is being finalized. A competition for the sale of shares of Molodechnotorg was held in May (Br15 billion.) The investor committed to attract investment, preserve social guarantees for employees, jobs. All in all, 250 state-owned facilities were sold in Minsk Oblast in 2010. The sale of state property has increased 1.9 times as compared with 2009 (130 facilities were sold last year), five times as compared with 2008 (50 facilities). Minsk Oblast hosted 249 auctions featuring 630 buildings and structures with the right to conclude contracts on lease of land. Forty-three facilities in the national ownership and 201 in the municipal ownership were sold at auctions. The total amount of items sold at auctions (real estate and lease rights) amounted to Br24.6 billion. More than 80 objects were sold, with the initial price being established at one basic value; 62 objects were given into free use by non-governmental legal entities and individuals for specific investment projects for the term of their implementation. They will be used as production sites and also the sites providing tourism and consumer services. In addition, the fund has been looking for new owners for poorly performing companies. In 2010, investors purchased Kopyl concrete products plant, Kopyl plant of wooden goods, Zayamnovskoe firm in Stolbtsy District, Dzerzhinsk textile factory and Smolevichy district industrial works, a set of facilities of Starye Dorogi garment factory. All privatized companies are undergoing upgrade. The number of jobs has increased, social programs remained intact. For example, a reinforced concrete factory in Kopyl (construction of farms of stressed concrete) has already created 75 jobs and utilized $2.4 million worth of investment. Preparatory work is well underway for the modernization of the former factory of wooden goods in Kopyl. The company will manufacture timber frame houses. Rimako Import-Export, the new owner of the Dzerzhinsk textile factory, has created 60 jobs and used Br850 million of investments. In 2010 the production output amounted to more than Br3. 9billion. The products are sold domestically and internationally. After acquisition of the Uzda garment factory by MarkFormel in 2009, over 160 new jobs were created. “Work in this direction will be intensified,” Alexei Vasiliev added. БЕЛТА
