MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Small and medium-sized businesses accounted for 40% of the Minsk Oblast budget revenues in January-April 2011, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk Oblast Tax Inspection. Small businesses accounted for 31.3% of the budget revenues, medium-sized businesses brought 8.7% of the total. In January-April this category of taxpayers brought Br511.8 billion worth of taxes and other payments to the budget (up 30.8% as against the same period last year). The most popular regime of taxation among small businesses is a simplified taxation system. This system is chosen by 16,500 businesses. They brought Br56.6 billion worth of taxes to the budget. As of 1 May Minsk oblast operates 47,800 small and medium-sized businesses, including almost 33,000 sole proprietors. БЕЛТА
