MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – In January-May this year, Minsk Oblast welcomed more than 23,000 holidaymakers from abroad, the chief of regional management of the National Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium Treatment Nikolai Kozlov told BelTA. Local spa and wellness centers earned Br32.3 billion on export of services in the five months this year, which is up 51.6% over the same period of 2010. Naroch Lake resorts are especially popular with foreigners. Thus, in the period under review the Priozerny sanatorium welcomed more than 2,000 foreign visitors, Belaya Rus more than 1,600, Sosny more than 1,200 foreign guests. They are attracted by good health care, good accommodation, the beauty of landscapes. In general, tourists prefer sanatoriums that provide care for cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neurological, digestive diseases. For example, Krynitsa welcomed more than 3,000 foreigners, Yunost more than 2,500 visitors, Belorusochka sanatorium 1,800 foreigners. 96.9% of the guests at Vesta center are foreign nationals. They make up 86% at the Silichi national ski center. There are more than 30 resorts and 26 recreational organizations of the first, second and third categories in Minsk Oblast. They expand the list of services, participate in exhibitions. In January-May more than 92,700 vouchers were sold. More than 23,400 of them were bought by citizens of other countries, mainly Russia. All resorts in Minsk Oblast have been booked until 1 October. БЕЛТА
