MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Minsk Oblast has executed the government grain procurement order, BelTA learnt from the cereal products department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Minsk Oblast shipped 240,000 tonnes of grain or 100% of the plan. It was second only to Vitebsk Oblast to meet the grain procurement target, the department informed. Mogilev Oblast is expected to be the next. Local agricultural companies have fulfilled 97.4% of the target and supplied 155,900 tonnes of grain. Grodno Oblast delivered 182,000 tonnes or 91% of the planned amount, followed by Brest Oblast (138,000 tonnes or 86.3% of the target) and Gomel Oblast (97,800 tonnes or 75.2%). A total of 948,700 tonnes of grain (or 93% of the target) have been supplied to execute the government grain procurement order. Rye and wheat targets have been fulfilled by 99.3% and 99.1% respectively (or 298,000 tonnes and 565,100 tonnes). Some 85,600 tonnes (55.2%) of other cereals were shipped, too. The harvesting is going on, so the supplies are expected to increase. Agricultural companies of the country are set to fulfill the government procurement contracts in full. БЕЛТА
