MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – An exhibition of Minsk Oblast artisans will be held as part of the Dazhynki 2011 nationwide harvest festival, BelTA learned from head of the traditional art department of the Minsk Oblast Folk Arts Center Vitaly Kasperovich. The exhibition will take place near the central square of Molodechno. It will feature such crafts as weaving, embroidery, pottery. The exposition will display traditions of districts. The best harvester operators, agronomists and other specialists will receive flowers and souvenirs. There are plans to hold various workshops, games, contests and try national dishes. The forum will also include numerous concerts. Artisans of Uzda District will organize seminars in weaving and belt plaiting for cultural workers of Dzerzhinsk, Kopyl, Myadel, Molodechno, Krupki districts. Volozhin and Molodechno districts will hold quizzes on the traditional culture. The Dazhynki festial-fair is held in Belarus every year. The first harvest festival took place in Stolin 1996. Mosty hosted Dazhynki in 1997, Nesvizh in 1998, Shklov in 2000, Mozyr in 2001, Polotsk in 2002, Pruzhany in 2003, Volkovysk in 2004, Slutsk in 2005, Bobruisk in 2006, Rechitsa in 2007, Orsha in 2008, Kobrin in 2009, Lida in 2010.
