MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov is expected to pay a visit to Belarus in April this year, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko said when speaking in the House of Representatives. The First Deputy Head of the Foreign Ministry was invited to the House of Representatives to report about the agreements on diplomatic missions with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, which were ratified by the Belarusian MPs on 2 April. The agreement with Azerbaijan was signed in Baku on 8 July 2011. The document stipulates that Belarus offers Azerbaijan two land plots of 0.25 hectares in Minsk for rent for 99 years (near Starovilensky Trakt and the National Library). Symbolic rent is $1 per year. In turn Belarus receives the area of 0.5 hectares for rent for 99 years in Rafiyeva Street in Baku. The fee is $1. The countries agreed not to give land plots away to third countries, any natural and legal persons without the relevant permission from the country providing the land plot. The similar agreement with Turkmenistan was signed in Ashgabat on 28 April 2011. The lease period in 49 years, with the same rent of $1 per year. Its location and size will be determined in additional intergovernmental protocol. First Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Petrishenko noted that the construction of the embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk is needed to intensify relations with Belarus. He added that Turkmenistan had already offered Belarus a site for the construction of the embassy. The relevant protocol will be signed during the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov to Belarus. БЕЛТА
