MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The foreign ministers of Belarus and Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding in Minsk on 24 May, BelTA has learnt. The document envisages setting up of a joint commission between the two countries. The document was inked by Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Martynov and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Dipu Moni. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture of Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food. In 2011, the trade between Belarus and Bangladesh amounted to $134.3 million; exports from Belarus reached $121.2 million (up 2.4 times as against 2010). Potash fertilizers accounted for 98% of exports. Belarus also exported tractors, x-ray machines, synthetic fibers and other products and imported clothing, tobacco, jute fiber yarn. БЕЛТА
