MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) - Belarus’ national Olympic football team finished preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games with a win in a friendly on 22 July, BelTA has learnt. Belarus’ team trained by head coach Georgy Kondratyev hammered the lower-division club Bedworth United 10:1. Goals in the Belarusian team were scored by Bressan (on 3 minutes), Solovey (7), Dragun (17), Kornilenko (pen. 26, 39), Skavysh (56, 80), Zubovich (60, 76), Aleksievich (84). Belarus played two other friendly matches earlier in the month. On 14 July Belarus overpowered FC St Albans City (Hertfordshire) 3:1. On 18 July Georgy Kondratyev’s team lost 1:0 to the national team of Japan. Belarus is drawn to play in Group C against New Zealand (26 July, Coventry), Brazil (29 July, Manchester) and Egypt (1 August, Glasgow). Other Olympic groups include: Group A: The UK, Senegal, the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay; Group B: Mexico, South Korea, Gabon, Switzerland; Group D: Spain, Japan, Honduras, Morocco. Two best-placed teams from each group will continue competing for medals. The 2012 Olympic football tournament will be held in six U.K. cities (Glasgow, Cardiff, Coventry, London, Manchester and Newcastle) from 25 July to 11 August. БЕЛТА
