MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – The Belarus-India research center for new materials and technologies will bring together projects estimated at $10 million, Director of the Powder Metallurgy Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Chief of the State Powder Metallurgy Association Alexander Iliushchenko told reporters on 7 September. An Indian delegation has recently visited Belarus. Indian specialists and their Belarusian partners agreed to set up a joint center to research new materials and technologies at the State Powder Metallurgy Association. The project will be financed by India (80%) and Belarus (20%). The parties reached a tentative agreement to implement about $10 million worth of projects in the near future. This year the State Powder Metallurgy Association plans to export $4 million worth of products and services, $1 million of which is to be exported by the Powder Metallurgy Institute. By now, the State Powder Metallurgy Association has exported $2.8 million in products and services, $610,000 by the Powder Metallurgy Institute. The association exports to China, Vietnam, Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic states, Canada, the USA and India. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus concluded five contracts estimated at $2.5 million with the Defense Ministry of India. БЕЛТА
