MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Russian excursion From the Varangians to the Greeks Along the Dnepr River will be made available to tourists. The information was released by Mr Alexander Romanov, Director of the Mogilev Oblast Sports and Recreation Center Raduga, at the presentation of tours at the Tourbusiness 2012 expo on 24 October, BelTA has learned. The transboundary water tour crosses two countries. The tourists will have to canoe from Smolensk to Mogilev in groups of over 40 people. On their way they will be able to make stopovers at the towns of Alexandriya and Shklov. Those, who are exhausted, will be able to travel the rest of the way by bus or by motor boat. Special camps are organized along the route with recreation and meal opportunities. The meals and beverages will be delivered by organizers of the excursion, who have promised to feed Byzantine Empire meals to tourists. Tourists will be accompanied by professional guides. The excursion will be available in summer time only. In the future there are plans to offer a longer tour from the Varangians to the Greeks that will connect the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. БЕЛТА
