MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – Foreign participants of the 7th Belarus Investment Forum will not have to pay for visas, the Public Relations Office of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA. BelTA has been told that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had waived consular fees for foreign participants of the forum. The decision was made on 26 October 2012 after the National Agency of Investment and Privatization and the Economy Ministry submitted the relevant initiative. The website of the Belarus Investment Forum has published a list of registered participants, which grows larger as new registration forms are processed. So far the list includes about 280 representatives of businesses, international organizations, experts and other entities. Free visas will be granted by Belarusian diplomatic missions abroad using this list. Forum participants can also get Belarusian visas upon arrival at the National Airport Minsk. Mr Dmitry Klevzhits, Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, remarked that the most favorable treatment of investors had been enabled in Belarus. The free visas for participants of the Belarus Investment Forum are a step towards the foreign businesses, which are interested in cooperation with Belarus. The concept of the 7th Belarus Investment Forum expects primarily potential foreign investors to take part in the event. The potential foreign investors are expected to make 70% of the total number of participants. Official invitations were sent to them earlier. On 31 October the website investforum.by will finish the registration of the participants, who have received an invitation to participate in the Belarus Investment Forum. The event will take place in Minsk on 15-16 November. Prime Minister of Belarus Mr Mikhail Myasnikovich is expected to take part in the event. The reception of accreditation forms from mass media representatives is nearly over, too. БЕЛТА
