MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – The ninth session of the Belarusian-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam on 5-6 November, Mr Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told media on 1 November. The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mr Sergei Aleinik. The session is expected to table bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, science and technology, sports and tourism. Close attention will be paid to the development of the joint production of MAZ trucks, the enhancement of the production and service support for automobiles. Apart from that, the sides will discuss a Belarusian-Vietnamese project to make compound mineral fertilizers out of Belarusian raw materials. Adjusting views on the participation of Belarusian companies in the extraction of natural resources in Vietnam will be high on the agenda, said the Foreign Ministry representative. The sides will also discuss the launch of the operation of the Belarusian trading house in Vietnam and the expansion of the choice of Belarusian exports. The Belarusian side plans to touch upon the organization of a direct air service between Minsk and Hanoi. “We believe that the move would contribute to the activation of tourist ties and direct contacts at the personal level in addition to other things,” explained Andrei Savinykh. There are plans to hold another round of political consultations with the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry. The Belarusian delegation head is expected to meet with Vice Premier of Vietnam Mr Hoang Trung Hai and Foreign Minister of Vietnam Mr Pham Binh Minh. БЕЛТА
