Lukashenko: Belarus’ development relies on ideals of peace, support and social justice

04.01.2014

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to all Belarusians as the country celebrates the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Communist Party of Belarus, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.“For our country these events inaugurated a new era and laid a foundation of the future sovereignty. Many years ago the right of peoples to self-determination was proclaimed for the first time in history. Apart from that, the Belarusians gained their national state. The history of formation and development of the BSSR is inseparably connected with the Communist Party. During the Great Patriotic War members of the Communist Party together with millions of people were in vanguard of fight against the enemy. Under their leadership towns and villages were built very quickly, the country accumulated a robust scientific and industrial potential,” the message of greetings reads.According to Alexander Lukashenko, the country cherishes the best traditions of those years. “Sovereign Belarus follows the path determined by the people. And this path is based on the ideals of peace, mutual support, and social justice nurtured by previous generations,” the Belarusian President said.
