Following the Armed Forces of Belarus an inspection will be carried out in the national border services, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at an extended session of the State Border Committee on 27 January to discuss border protection, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.“The inspection of the border services will be held somewhere in late spring or summer. We will check how the state border is protected. Today it is high time to look at the relevant action plan, the one we compiled for the Armed Forces,” the head of state said.Alexander Lukashenko emphasized the inadmissibility of formalism in the work of oblast border commissions. “We should check up these commissions, study their workload, vest them with more duties if necessary. Or maybe liquidate them if there is no need in them. No formalism is acceptable here. If they have been created and there is a need in them, let us work efficiently,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
