Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei will pay a working visit to Latvia on 27-28 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. During the visit Vladimir Makei will meet with Latvian President Andris Berzins, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics and Minister of Transport Anrijs Matiss.The officials will review the entire spectrum of matters of current importance which pertain to the development of Belarusian-Latvian cooperation in politics, trade, economy, transport, transit and humanitarian areas. They are also expected to discuss Belarus’ relations with the EU, including within the context of Latvia’s EU presidency in H1 2015 and the holding of the Riga summit of the Eastern Partnership Initiative.During his stay in Riga Vladimir Makei is expected to visit the Freeport of Riga and the Belarusian-Latvian joint venture OOO MTZ Service.
