Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has approved the appointment of Nikolai Yefimchik as the Chairman of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom, BelTA learned from the president's press service. Nikolai Yefimchik was born in Soligorsk District, Minsk Oblast, in 1960. He graduated from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy in 1982 and the Academy of Public Administration under the Auspices of the Belarusian President in 2001. He began his career in the company Soligorskvodstroy in 1982. Nikolai Yefimchik worked as first secretary of the Soligorsk District Committee of the Belarusian branch of Komsomol, head of the propaganda and campaigning department of the Soligorsk District Executive Committee, head of the agricultural company Starobinsky. In 1997 he was appointed deputy director for commerce at ZAO Kalinka. In 2003 Nikolai Yefimchik became Director General of OAO Kupalinka. Nikolai Yefimchik was awarded the medal for excellent labor.
