Jobs for future Eurasian Union citizens in any member state

11.04.2014

Citizens of the future Eurasian Economic Union will be able to work in any member state of the union, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission with reference to Askar Kishkembayev, the head of the secretariat, EEC Minister for Economy and Financial Policy. In his words, the norm is envisaged in the draft Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. Citizens of the Union member states will be freed from getting a permit to work in the country of employment. Employee insurance for the workers of the EEU member states bears a special significance in the future establishment of the common labor market. The service is provided under the same conditions and in the same order as for the citizens of the country of employment. The norm is also stipulated in the draft of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty, the EEC representative said. “The issues related to pension coverage of our people within the common labor market will be addressed by additional agreements to the treaty,” Askar Kishkembayev noted. The EEC representative also stressed that equally important in the development of the common labor market of the Union member states is the implementation of the reached agreements on the taxation of income of individuals. “In particular, the draft treaty will include a legal norm which will envisage uniform conditions for the taxation of income of individuals – citizens of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space from the first day of employment, not after the status of a tax resident is granted which is provided upon the expiration of 183 days,” Askar Kishkembayev said.
