Belarusian players will be able to contribute to the development of Belarusian sport schools with every victory they get at the 2014 IIHF World Championship thanks to the Presidential Sports Club project. In line with the project, the Presidential Sports Club provides every player of the Belarusian national team scoring a game-winning goal as well as a goalkeeper recording a shutout the right to choose a children's sport school which for a grant to improve its material and technical base. Future hockey stars will be able to get Br75 million or twice as much if it is a shutout following every win of the Belarusian team at Minsk Arena during the world's sport forum. The project was launched in 2010 and has already brought more than Br200 million in sponsor aid to Belarusian schools. Forward Andrei Kostitsyn is its record-holder, bringing wins to his team three times and sending material aid to his HC Khimik Novopolotsk school. Among those who got the chance to choose a school for material assistance also was Yevgeny Kovyrshin (Soligorsk sport school), Mikhail Stefanovich (Grodno Sport School No.10), Alexei Kalyuzhny (HC Yunost Minsk school), Andrei Mezin (HC Khimik Novopolotsk school), and Alexei Ugarov (HC Yunost Minsk school). The Presidential Sports Club will also present valuable prizes and souvenirs to every player scoring a winner and a goalkeeper recording a shutout.
