Passenger traffic through Minsk National Airports rose 17.1% in H1 2014 as compared to the same period a year earlier to a total of 1.060 million passengers, BelTA learned from the press service of the airport. All in all, Minsk National Airport accommodated 9,313 flights in H1. In January-June, the airport processed almost 8,149 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 63.1% from the same period of last year. The National Airport Minsk is Belarus' first international airport certified in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001 in all areas of business. Belavia national airline and cargo forwarders Transaviaexport, Rubistar and Genex are based here. Flights from the Minsk airport are available to more than 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and other regions. In 2013 the airport and its subsidiary Minsk 1 accommodated over 2.182 million passengers.
