Bellesbumprom Concern builds up supplies to Iran

Companies of the Bellesbumprom Concern have been building up supplies to Iran, BelTA learnt from spokeswoman for the company Ruzhena Novitskaya.
“The memorandum of trade and economic cooperation between the Belarusian Forestry of the Bellesbumprom Concern, the only trading agent in the industry, and one of Iran's big industrial companies was signed in Minsk on 13 August,” the spokesman said.
Agreements were reached on $3 million worth of packaged supplies by woodworking companies to Iran. The supplies will include lumber and plywood, wood chip boards of Rechitsadrev, Borisovdrev medium density fiberboards, prefab houses, summerhouses, saunas, and products of the pulp and paper industry. “The concern has earlier delivered small batches of products to Iran. Such volumes will be exported to the country for the first time,” the spokeswoman said.
Ruzhena Novitskaya added that during the meeting representatives of the Iranian company expressed intention to build up the supplies of woodworking products to both Iran and the neighboring countries: Iraq and Afghanistan.
According to Iranian representatives, the country is implementing large-scale construction projects. The country has been building numerous manufacturing and administrative facilities as well as housing. That is why lumber, plywood, wood chip boards and fiber building boards are in great demand on the Iranian market. Besides, the Persian Gulf has been actively developing tourism, building housing. Wooden house building products as the most eco-friendly can be in high demanded here as well.
During the visit to the companies of the concern, Iranian specialists praised the quality of the products, the equipment of the companies and the manufacturing organization.
The parties agreed on the participation of the Belarusian companies in specialized exhibitions held in Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Bellesbumprom Concern unites 46 organizations in the country. The concern's companies sell to 38 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Germany and Ukraine.
