22.10.2014

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel of the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History which celebrates the 70th anniversary.
The head of state remarked that the museum was opened in one of the most significant periods of Belarus' contemporary history – in the year when Belarus was liberated from the Nazi invasion. “Neither the ongoing war, nor the post-war devastation could stop the noble intention of people to perpetuate the memory of those who fought on the fronts, in partisan brigades and underground movement, worked hard in the name of the Victory,” the message of greetings reads.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, it is symbolic that in the year of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Belarus' liberation the museum moved to a new home. “Thanks to your professionalism and responsible attitude to work, the museum has the best exposition which objectively illustrates heroic and tragic events in the fate of Belarus and the whole world,” the President remarked. The museum's personnel deserve the highest award for the big contribution to the prevention of falsification of history, vigorous efforts to promote patriotic, spiritual and moral education of people, consolidation of the society.
