Belarus' draft development strategy until 2030 to be submitted for public hearing

The Economy Ministry will submit the draft national strategy on Belarus' sustainable social and economic development until 2030 (NSSD 2030) for public hearing, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
The draft reflects the conceptual provisions of long-term development in the field of economy, social policy and environmental security, the basic priorities and areas of activities of the state and society to improve the competitiveness of the national economy, increase the living standards and quality of life of the Belarusian citizens, conservation and rational use of natural resources.
"Without joint efforts, support, and the active involvement of all participants of the Belarusian civil society, the effective work towards the country's development strategy is impossible," said the press service of the Economy Ministry and expressed gratitude to all those who will show interest and send their comments and suggestions regarding the draft national strategy.
Specialists of the Minsitry expressed the hope that the NSSD 2030 will attract the attention of high-ranking officials and the public, will be the basis for further dialogue on the country's development strategy between the various population groups, during which a number of its provisions will be fine-tuned and supplemented.
The draft strategy has been prepared by the Economy Ministry jointly with the Research Economy Institute, with the participation of the state administration bodies, regional executive committees, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, representatives of the business community and experts of international organizations such as the UN/UNDP in Belarus, the World Bank, and the Johannes Rau International Center for Education and Exchange in Minsk.
The draft document was recently examined at the meeting of the interdepartmental working group, comprising representatives of the government, business and academia.
