14.01.2015

Belarus has completed internal procedures to ratify the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the State of Israel on visa-free trips for holders of national passports, according to the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

Belarus has completed internal procedures to ratify the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the State of Israel on visa-free trips for holders of national passports, according to the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
According to the document, citizens of one state (holders of national passports, apart from diplomatic and service passports) will be able to spend up to 90 days within a six-month period on the territory of the other state visa-free. People who plan to stay in Belarus or Israel for more than 90 days and those who want to work or do business there will have to get visas beforehand.
Each country retains the right to deny entry to the citizens of the other state or reduce the period of their stay if they deem it necessary.
The document explains that the agreement was signed in Minsk on 19 September 2014 and ratified by the law of 4 January 2015. The agreement on visa-free trips between Belarus and Israel will enter into force 90 days after the signatories to the agreement receive the last written notification about the completion of all the necessary domestic procedures by the other partner. The agreement will be valid for one year and can be automatically extended for more one-year periods until one of the partners notifies the other one about its decision to terminate it. In such event the agreement will cease to have effect after 90 days from receiving such a notice by the other part.
