Belarus-China tight cooperation praised

09.09.2016

Belarus-China interaction has reached an unprecedented level. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky made the statement as he met with Deputy Chairwoman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission under the State Council of the People's Republic of China Huang Danhua on 8 September, BelTA has learned.
Vasily Matyushevsky noted: “The development of relations with the People's Republic of China has been and will be a high priority in our foreign policy and an example of building equal, respectful and mutually beneficial relations between nations. Thanks to joint task-oriented efforts contacts at the high level, political interaction and mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries have reached an unprecedentedly high level in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus from our point of view.”
According to the official, Belarus views China as a strategic partner and sees joint projects as instruments to bolster mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, financial, credit, investment affairs, R&D and other areas. The meeting of the heads of state of Belarus and China in May 2015 gave a new impulse to the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. “We are confident that the forthcoming visit of the Belarus president to China will ensure the complete implementation of the format of integral strategic partnership in our relations and will allow putting more efforts into making the transition to direct mutual investment projects,” stressed Vasily Matyushevsky.
According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, filling the declared format of interaction with as much quality content as possible is the key task for Belarus and China today. As an example he mentioned the agreements reached at the intergovernmental level within the framework of the Belarusian-Chinese committee on cooperation, the trade and economic cooperation commission and the resulting visits of representatives of many large internationally recognized Chinese companies to Belarus.
Vasily Matyushevsky assured that the Belarusian government is ready to enable as comfortable conditions as possible for the practical implementation of all the agreements that had been reached.
In turn, Huang Danhua mentioned the high level of interaction between the two countries. She was confident that the forthcoming visit of the Belarusian leader to China will help bolster the mutual contacts. “We believe that cooperation in economy and trade is particularly important for stimulating our cooperation. The example of the China-Belarus industrial park is a case in point,” believes Huang Danhua.
