11.11.2016

Vietnam's Minister of Public Security To Lam praised the training and enhancement of qualifications of Vietnamese law enforcement officers in the Academy of the Interior Ministry of Belarus and supported the expansion of this practice, BelTA learned from head of the Information and PR Department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus Konstantin Shalkevich.
The meeting of Ministers of the two law-enforcement agencies To Lam and Igor Shunevich took place during the official visit of the delegation of the Belarusian Interior Ministry to Vietnam on 8-11 November.
The parties discussed the ways to exchange experience in ensuring law and order during cultural and sports events, counteraction to international terrorism, illegal migration, drug trade and trafficking in persons. To Lam hailed the training and enhancement of qualifications of Vietnamese law enforcement officers in the Academy of the Interior Ministry of Belarus and supported the expansion of this practice.
The two ministers emphasized the need to develop legislation in the extradition of wanted persons. Igor Shunevich took note of a wide range of products which Belarus can supply for the law enforcement system of Vietnam.
