Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a package of
documents relating to the advancement of Eurasian integration, the press
service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The package includes the treaty on the Customs Code of the Eurasian
Economic Union. The document is aimed at advancing integration processes
and increasing volumes of trade between the Eurasian Economic Union and
the rest of the world.
The signed documents also deal with foreign policy, including the
launch of negotiations on free trade with Iran, India, Singapore, and
Egypt. Apart from that, the documents take care of unified customs
regulations in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), coordination of the
transport policy, digital agenda, common financial and electricity
markets, and trade in services.
The adoption of the package of documents will allow the Republic of
Belarus to systemically argue in favor of its approaches to handling
problematic aspects of operation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
