On June 29-30, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation, where he will take part in the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State and the fourth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia. BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
It is planned to discuss the most important issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation at the meeting of the Supreme Council. One of the central themes of the agenda is the results of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia for 2016. The sides will discuss issues of increasing cooperation in the machine-building sector and the agro-industrial complex.
It is planned that the meeting will also analyze the implementation of the Program of concerted actions in the field of foreign policy and consider the implementation of priority areas and priorities for the further development of the Union State in the medium term. Other topical issues are on the agenda.
It is expected that before the meeting of the Supreme State Council, Alexander Lukashenko will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, at which the parties will discuss the most important issues of interaction between the countries, both on a bilateral basis and in integration formats, and exchange views on the topics of the international agenda.
The joint participation of the heads of state in the plenary session of the fourth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia on the topic "Vectors of the integration development of the regions of Russia and Belarus in the sphere of high technologies, innovation and the information society" is also planned for June 30.
