Austrian companies recognize the advantages of cooperation with Belarus and continue to invest in the country's economy, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz noted during the third session of the Belarus-Austria Business Council in Vienna on 31 January, BelTA has learned.
Austrian companies are among the major investors in Belarus' economy, Richard Schenz underlined. “We are happy that Austria's investments have been growing,” the vice president remarked.
Austrian businessmen speak positively about the Belarusian stability, he added. This factor is among the most essential ones influencing foreign investment decisions.
Richard Schenz expressed confidence that the session of the Belarus-Austria Business Council, including the presentation of Belarus' economic potential, will promote further contacts between the two countries.
The Belarusian delegation at the meeting is led by Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Austria Alena Kupchyna are among the participants, too.
