Regional councils for the development of entrepreneurship will be created in all regions of Belarus until mid-June. The chairman of the Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship Oleksandr Turchin told journalists today, BelTA has learned.
"The work on the creation of regional councils for the development of entrepreneurship has been practically completed, the Vitebsk region has remained, where it is necessary to sign an appropriate decision of the regional executive committee, which will be done if not in May or until mid-June," said Oleksandr Turchin.
He noted that work on such councils is already underway. "Maybe not as fast as we would like, but this work is under way - first meetings are taking place, people are discussing the problems, and it is very important that there are such dialogue platforms on which disputable issues are being resolved," he stressed.
Speaking about other initiatives on which the Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship works, Oleksandr Turchin reminded that at the final stage there is an initiative to introduce amendments to Decree No. 488 "On Some Measures to Prevent Illegal Minimization of Tax Obligations". In addition, it is proposed to discuss the changes in several articles of the Criminal Code. These are articles 233 and 234, which deal with illegal business activities and pseudo business. "We sent our proposals to the House of Representatives and offered to discuss them and come to some common opinion on such a broad discussion platform with the participation of representatives of business, lawyers, and deputies," stated Alexander Turchin.
