The Ministry of Finance of Belarus and the Chinese rating agency China Chengxin International Credit Rating (CCXI) today signed an agreement on assigning a credit rating to Belarus. BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in China.
The document was signed during the meeting of Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin with the chairman of the agency Yan Yan. The agreement provides for a CCXI assessment of Belarus, the assignment and maintenance of a credit rating on the Chinese national rating scale. Thanks to the signing of the document, Belarus was able to place bonds on the financial market of China.
At the meeting, the sides also exchanged experience in the field of assigning international ratings, discussed promising areas of cooperation, the possibility of assigning credit ratings to Belarusian residents.
Vladimir Amarin also held talks with the Deputy Chairman of the People's Bank of China, Pan Gongsheng. During these events, an algorithm of joint actions on issuing government securities of Belarus on the Chinese market was agreed upon.
The Belarusian side received the appropriate permission from the People's Bank.
