The new minister of industry intends to pay more attention to enterprises in medium and small cities

20.08.2018

Enterprises in medium and small cities need to pay more attention. This opinion was expressed to journalists by the new minister of industry Pavel Utyupin, whom Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko presented to the employees of the department today, BelTA has learned.
"It's probably necessary to pay more attention to enterprises, which are located in small and medium-sized cities. As the enterprises of the Ministry of Industry are located all over the country, the socio-economic situation in each city will develop from their work, therefore it is very important, "said Pavel Utyupin . Touching on the tasks facing the agency and directly in front of the factories, the minister noted that they remained the same - the development of new products, the modernization of enterprises, the implementation of investment projects. "No one is going to change the course that the head of state has repeatedly designated, and which has already been systematized in many long-term programs, we expect more effective solutions to achieve them, "he stressed. The accumulated problems in the ministry are being resolved both on their own and with the involvement of strategic partners - in other words, by privatization. "Nobody is against privatization itself, the question is simply to understand why this is so," added Pavel Utyupin. Pavel Utyupin began his career in 1994 as deputy director on foreign economic relations of Borisov enterprise "Double V". Then he worked as the head of the foreign economic relations department of the UTV company, an economist at the Belarusian-German-Russian enterprise Freibor, an advisor and chief advisor to the chairman of the Mogilev regional executive committee. In 2006, he became Deputy Director General for Economics and Finance "Belshina", and in 2011 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Industry and worked in this position until 2017. Until recently, Pavel Utyupin served as Deputy Minister of Economy.
