Mass harvesting of cereals is over in Belarus

Mass harvesting of cereals is coming to an end in Belarus, BelTA informs with reference to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. As of August 23, grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 1.94 million hectares, which is 96.4% of the planned area. In total, more than 5.12 million tons of grain have been threshed in the country with an average yield of 26.4 c / ha. In 2017, as of August 23, agrarians harvested more than 7 million tonnes of grain. The harvesting campaign was almost completed in the Brest and Minsk regions: 98.8% of the acreage was harvested there. In the Grodno region harvest was collected from 98.3%, in Mogilev - from 96.3%. In the Gomel region, 95.3% of the acreage was completed, in the Vitebsk region - by 89.8%.
