Proposals to improve business education system in Belarus in development

13.12.2018

A session of the national council for developing the business education system took place in the Belarusian Economy Ministry, the ministry's press service told BelTA.
Among other things participants of the session discussed approaches to the development of strategic documents on enhancing the national business education system in 2021-2025. A taskforce will be set up to work out the conceptual proposals. The proposals will be included into the guidelines on developing the country's education system in the next five-year term.
A draft professional standard Management of Commercial Organization was discussed and approved as a whole. Once the document is polished, it will be forwarded to the leading business associations for discussion.
Voluntary accreditation of business education market entities was also discussed. The council decided to encourage market players to seek public accreditation in international associations of business education.
Participants of the session also discussed the regulation of distance learning services and the use of information and communication technologies for providing business education services remotely. Proposals to improve postgraduate education programs offered by commercial organizations to adults were discussed. The Education Ministry was advised to work out guidelines on organizing the state accreditation of other organizations, which offer career broadening programs to adults.
Results of the council's work in 2018 were summed up and the draft work plan for the next year was approved.
