Belarusian MFA urges Poland to fulfill its international obligations

09.11.2020

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Belarus has expressed concern over confirmed and documented cases of criminal activity organized from the territory of Poland, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“On 9 November, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with Polish Charge d'Affaires in Belarus Marcin Wojciechowski to discuss the international agreements between Belarus and Poland,” the ministry noted.

The meeting focused on the implementation of bilateral agreements in crime prevention and the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime signed in 2000.

“Belarus has expressed concern about the confirmed and documented cases of criminal activity organized from the territory of Poland that is harmful to the lives and health of Belarusians, the public security, state and private property,” the ministry said. “Belarus has called on Poland to comply with its international obligations and take measures to prevent criminal activities in its territory,” it added.
