The Best Exporter contest has started in Belarus. This was announced to journalists by Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, before the final meeting of the BelCCI Council, BELTA reports.
The preliminary stage of the Best Exporter contest was announced at the meeting. «We invite all enterprises working for export to take part in the contest. It has already become a landmark event over the years. Its co-organizers, together with the chamber, are almost all ministries and concerns, regional executive committees, free economic zones, and business unions. The selection stage will be held until May 15, after which the results will be presented in the final part and the results will be summarized,» Mikhail Myatlikov said.
The head of the BelCCI emphasized that the contest is transparent and its results are summarized only on the basis of figures. «Export volumes, export volumes per employee, export growth rates, and the number of countries to which they supply are taken into account. For example, last year we had 17 nominations, in which 150 enterprises were declared. They provided more than $10 billion in exports to our country. This year we expect no fewer participants. After summing up the preliminary and final results, we will determine when the award ceremony for the best exporters of the country will take place,» he said.
The winners of the competition in each nomination are awarded a prize and a diploma of the BelCCI «Best Exporter of the Year», and also receive the right to use the «Best Exporter of the Year» sign in their advertising and presentation materials, indicating the year for which they were determined as winners. The competition committee has the right to additionally decide on the awarding of special awards (diplomas) to encourage participants who have shown high results in individual indicators of export activities.
