President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a law on real estate activities. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the head of state.
The preparation of this act was due to the need for a comprehensive regulation of relations related to the provision of real estate services.
The law creates a new self-governing body — the Chamber of Realtors. Its structure includes a general meeting (meeting of authorized representatives), a board, a chairman and an audit commission.
The institution of real estate agents is abolished. Only realtors who are members of the Chamber of Realtors and have a certification certificate will have the right to provide real estate services.
The approaches to the qualification requirements of realtors are also changing, namely, the requirement for specialized education is canceled. A citizen with any higher education who has completed training courses in the field of real estate and passed the certification exam can become a realtor.
