Since April 15, a ban on zander fishing has been in effect, the Nesvizhskaya MRI reported.
Zander is one of the most valuable commercial fish of natural reservoirs, lives in large rivers, reservoirs and many lakes. It prefers places with clean running water, with a sandy and stony-pebble bottom. It avoids waterlogged, heavily overgrown and polluted reservoirs, as it is very sensitive to water quality and the amount of oxygen dissolved in it. Leads a predominantly solitary way of life, only small herons are found in small flocks.
Females become sexually mature, as a rule, at the age of 4-7 years, males in general — a year earlier. Spawning occurs when the water temperature rises above 15-17°С. Spawning is one-time, occurs at night or at dawn, more often in the early morning. When cooling, spawning stops or stretches for 2 or more weeks.
Fertility, depending on the size of the female, ranges from 100,000 to 1.1 million. eggs Caviar is small, sticky. After spawning, males actively guard the spawn and protect it from fouling.
In order to preserve the pike perch population and create favorable conditions for its reproduction, including in the pre-spawning and post-spawning periods, in the fishing grounds of the republic from April 15 to May 30, the Rules of amateur fishing and the Rules of fishing management established a ban on its fishing. In case of catching zander, it must be immediately released into the fishing grounds.
For the illegal removal of zander during the specified period, administrative responsibility is provided under part. 1 Article 16.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. In the case of detection of such violations, the individual faces a fine in the amount of ten to thirty basic values with confiscation of tools for catching fish or other aquatic animals and other objects that appeared as a tool or means of committing the violation, or without confiscation. The size of the base value is currently 42 rubles. At the same time, for each caught zander, you will also have to pay damages, which is calculated on the basis of taxes calculated in threefold. The fee for an illegally seized pike perch is 6 bv. Thus, the amount of damage will be 756 rubles.
In addition, being in fishing grounds or in the territory adjacent to them at a distance of up to one kilometer from the coastline of fishing grounds with fish, the fishing of which is currently prohibited (zander), without documents confirming the legality of the ownership of fish, is qualified according to part 3 of article 16.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus and entails the imposition of a fine from five to thirty basic amounts.
In the event that the damage caused to the environment is 100 or more basic values, criminal liability may arise under Art. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
