In order to improve state regulation of digital development, amendments have been made to Decree No. 136 of 7 April 2022 «On the state administration body in the field of digital development and informatization issues». The corresponding Decree No. 200 was signed on 19 May by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document is aimed at further activating regional digital development at the expense of local innovation funds, expanding the list of services of industry digitalization offices and the RUE «Digital Development Center» provided to state bodies and organizations at the expense of budgetary funds, including planning their digital development, supporting information systems, and scaling up pilot projects.
Taking into account the importance of digital development issues for the economy, the decree also stipulates that the Prime Minister of Belarus oversees the Ministry of Communications and Informatization and heads the Supervisory Board of the High-Tech Park.
