The season of trade in goods for schoolchildren will start in Belarus on July 15. The task of retail outlets is to present a wide range of clothing, footwear, and school haberdashery. This was announced at a seminar on preparation for the school season by Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Svetlana Korotkevich, a BELTA correspondent reports.
Representatives of business entities and government agencies took part in the seminar.
As Svetlana Korotkevich noted, retail entities have actively joined the work. Approximately, sets of clothing and footwear for schoolchildren (boys and girls) will cost from Br400 to Br476. «These are the maximum figures. The amount will differ by age category: sets for boys in grades 1-4 will cost Br64 — Br400, grades 5-9 — Br93 — Br441, grades 10-11 — Br125 — Br476, for girls in grades 1-4 — Br69 — Br325, grades 5-9 — Br71 — Br373, grades 10-11 — Br89 — Br423,» she said.
There will also be a choice of stationery. Prices have increased slightly.
A large-scale sale of goods for schoolchildren, including school bazaars, will be organized starting in mid-July. Enterprises of the Bellegprom concern and other Belarusian manufacturers will actively join them.
Separately, Svetlana Korotkevich focused on the sale of domestically produced goods. Their share is planned to increase. More than 100 retail outlets have already joined the MART agreement on increasing the efficiency of sales of Belarusian goods. The document is posted on the agency’s website. In 2025, the share of sales of domestically produced goods should be 63%, including 85% for food products and 38.1% for the non-food group in the republic as a whole.
