In order to improve laws on state social insurance taking into account the practice of their application, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the law «On Amending Laws on State Social Insurance and Pension Provision». This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The law provides for the right of professional income tax payers to independently pay additional contributions to the budget of the state extra-budgetary fund for social protection of the population for pension insurance to form their future pension guarantees.
For individual entrepreneurs, a differentiated procedure for paying contributions to the budget of the state extra-budgetary fund for social protection of the population is established depending on the income they receive. It also provides for an extension of the terms for paying such contributions and full automation of the processes of interaction with the FSS.
The law tightens liability measures for employers who pay wages in envelopes, while simultaneously reducing social guarantees for recipients of such wages. The bodies of the Social Security Fund are granted the right to make independent decisions on debt collection from business entities in the manner prescribed by the legislation on enforcement proceedings.
