The National Airport Minsk received a quality certificate from the certification agency Bureau Veritas, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Aviation Department of the Belarusian Transport and Communication Ministry.
The airport received the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate titled “Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series”
In line with the task programme on the improvement of occupational safety adopted by the Aviation Department of the Belarusian Transport Ministry for 2006-2010, a system of occupational safety control was implemented. It was developed in accordance with the requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007. In April 2008, “Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine” conducted a certification audit of the National Airport Minsk.
The occupational health and safety management of the National Airport corresponds to international standards and helps control the dangerous production factors and risks, prevent accidents and emergencies. This system considerably increases the image of the airport at the global market of aviation service.
