Two music bands from Venezuela - dance music group Folclor Cochense and music quartet Maraca Ensamble - are touring Belarus. They gave a brilliant performance at the ceremony of unveiling a plate to Simon Bolivar that took place in the park bearing his name on July 8. They received thunderous ovation of the public among whom were the representatives of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, Minsk City Council, BRSM Youth Organization, war veterans and diplomats.
The Embassy of Venezuela in Belarus told BelTA that Folclor Cochense will participate in Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk while Maraca Ensamble will give performances in Gomel. The concerts of the Venezuelan artistes are organized in line with the Days of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Belarus timed to the Venezuelan national holiday.
In December 2007, Belarusian artistes gave a concert in Caracas in one of the best concert halls of Latin America - Теаtrо Teresa carreno. All the tickets for this concert were sold out.
The Venezuelan Embassy underlined that the cultural exchange will help strengthen the links between the two nations.
