Six school students represent Belarus at the international Olympiad in mathematics, BelTA learnt from Yuri Gladkov, head of the secondary education department of the Education Ministry.
The first international school Olympiad takes place in Madrid this year. The international jury will announce the results on July 21.
Among the Belarusians partaking in the Olympiad are 11-former of the Luzhesnyanka gymnasium for talented children, the Vitebsk oblast, Konstantin Shersnev, 11-formers of school #41 in Minsk Denis Pirshtuk and Mikhail Gluschenko, ten-former of school #37 in Vitebsk Svetlana Ovchinnikova, ten-former of school #51 in Minsk Aleksei Voidelevich and ten-former of the lyceum of Belarusian State University Artem Toyestev.
Yuri Gladkov noted that the Belarusian Olympic team traditionally consists of the winners of the national Olympiads.
